Slack

Connect Slack to Proliferate.

Info:

This page used to cover Granola. Granola isn't one of Proliferate's pre-registered integrations today, so we replaced it with Slack, one of the tools Proliferate does ship out of the box. If your org wants Granola or any other tool that exposes an MCP server, an admin can add it as a custom integration.

Slack is one of the integrations Proliferate ships pre-registered. Connect your account once and agents can search workspace messages, channels, files, and users, and help you prepare Slack follow-ups without you pasting context back and forth.

What agents can do with it

Once connected, an agent can look up a thread you mention, check what a channel has been discussing, or draft a message for you to review before it goes anywhere. Proliferate proxies these calls to Slack's own hosted tools, so the exact list of available actions comes from Slack, and nothing is ever sent on your behalf without your review.

Connect Slack

Open Integrations in Settings

Slack authenticates with OAuth, so there's no API key to create or paste.

Click Connect on the Slack row

Proliferate opens your browser to Slack's sign-in and authorization page.

Approve access to your workspace

Approve the request in your browser, then return to the desktop app. The Slack row updates from Not connected to Ready.

Slack connected in the integrations list

The Slack row in Settings > Integrations showing a Ready badge, OAuth auth type, and Reconnect/Disconnect actions.

Good to know

  • The connection is personal to your account and scoped to the Slack workspace you authorize. Teammates need to connect their own account.
  • If Slack later reports your session as expired, the row shows Reconnect required and a chip appears in the chat composer so you can fix it without hunting through Settings.
  • An organization admin can turn Slack off for your whole org. If they do, the row shows Disabled by org.

See Adding an integration for the full connect and disconnect flow, and Pre-registered integrations for the rest of what Proliferate ships out of the box.
