The open-source, self-hostable IDE for local and cloud agents

Proliferate is the open-source, self-hostable IDE for local and cloud coding agents. Run a team of AI software engineers on your laptop or in the cloud, orchestrated, governed, and owned by you.
Be up and running in a few minutes with the quickstart, or keep everything inside your own VPC by deploying on AWS or GCP. Drive one agent interactively, or queue many to work in parallel across worktrees and cloud workspaces.
What sets Proliferate apart:
- Use any agent: Run Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, OpenCode, and more on the subscriptions you already pay for.
- Use any auth method: Bring your own API key, a self-hosted or local model endpoint, or Proliferate's managed gateway. New accounts start with free gateway credits, so there is nothing to configure on day one.
- Automate the real work: Turn repeat tasks into workflows that run on a schedule or on demand.
- Integrate with your stack: Connect the tools you already use, like Linear, Notion, and Sentry.
- Govern at scale: Set org-wide agent policies for which harnesses and auth routes your team can use, and keep spend predictable with per-member budgets.
- Secure by design: Isolated cloud sandboxes keep execution off your laptop, SSO keeps sign-in centralized, and self-hosted deployment keeps everything inside your own VPC when you need it.
- Local and cloud: Choose per workspace. Work in a local checkout or worktree for full control, or start a cloud workspace that keeps running while your laptop is closed.
