Questions & answers

Is Proliferate fully open source?

Yes, we’re 100% AGPL-3.0. That includes the cloud control plane, all the agent management, the desktop client, web app, and mobile app.

Which coding agents work with Proliferate?

Proliferate supports all the native functionality for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, and OpenCode. You can use your existing subscriptions, AI gateway, and bring your own inference for self-hosted models.

Can I self-host it?

Absolutely! The product is completely self hostable with white labelling, custom controls, and more. The only external dependency is E2B, which is used for our sandbox provisioning infrastructure- we support fully self hosted runners for enterprise deployments.

Do I need new subscriptions or API keys?

No. Proliferate runs on the credentials you already have: your Claude Code login, Codex login, provider API keys, and so on. It doesn't issue its own subscription on top of what you use today.

Where does my code run?

Locally, in a git worktree Proliferate manages for you, or in an isolated cloud sandbox when you want work to keep going away from your laptop. Either way it stays git-backed, so branches and diffs move the same way between local and cloud.
